Prescriptions

If your doctor agrees, patients requesting repeat and regular medication will be issued with a copy of all medication.

You can request a repeat prescription via:

  • Online
  • Completing a repeat slip and handing it in at the Surgery
  • Completing a repeat slip and posting it to the Surgery (enclose a self addressed envelope if you would like us to return it to you by post)

For safety reasons we cannot accept telephone requests for prescriptions.

Changes to the Way You Order Repeat Medication

Patients who previously used a pharmacy or dispensing company to order medicines on their behalf are no longer able to use this method.

Please see the letter from the Chiltern Commissioning Group (CCG) for more information.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

Prescriptions can be transferred electronically (EPS) between the surgery and the pharmacy , this method also requires 3 working days for us to process. Register for the Electronic Prescription Service.

Please note if you are taking a “controlled drug “ such as Tramadol these cannot be transferred electronically at the present time (this is a Department of Health regulation).
